They never had a chance to see any of that flourish.” But the ones from jail are harder because, just as good people and guys that I got to love, and they never had a chance to have anything. A lot of them saw a lot of a lot of great things, had their fun, made some money, saw success, saw some dreams come true, and then it went away, because life is shorter than you think. Because those guys did have a life, those comics. “I’ve known a lot of comics who have died…I’ll tell you what, the comedians I known who have passed away, I’m not as affected in a sad way by them as I am with the kids I met in jail. Lange says, “A kid I know died, who I met in rehab who was someone I became a real friend with and when he passed away, that hurt.” Lange found out about this while on tour in January, and it appears to be the straw that broke the camels back. because it was moving too fast again, and that’s the mature decision that I made that I would have never made before in my life.”īy this time 8 of the 40 guys he was in rehab with 18 months ago have already died. I never had a relapse in the last year, but a lot of people wondered about that I’m sure, but I just pulled the plug on everything just because I was afraid, I didn’t know what was going to happen. “Yes, and thats part of the reason I pulled back and stopped. When Nicchi asked if Lange had gone back to work too soon, Lange says, When he got out, he started doing stand up again, picked up the podcast, and even started touring. Lange had already served 28 days in jail in solitary confinement and completed rehab. It had already been a rough 18 months for him, and the Rona hadn’t even hit yet. He mentioned in March that he wouldn’t be doing any more shows. Lange kind of disappeared around February of this year.
